I couldn’t get my audio from my phone to the computer so I don’t have myself talking about the event.

Here is what I recorded myself saying:

“Ashley’s family is from Barbados. In their culture the 16th and 21st birthdays hold great significance. At her 16th birthday a celebration was held as she came out into society and was recognized as a woman. Now as she turned 21 another celebration was held to recognize her as an adult.”

Matt,

I came down with a respiratory infection and bronchitis, among other things over the weekend. I am still contagious so I probably shouldn’t come to class tonight but I don’t want to miss any important info. I will check the blog but is there any info that I need to know that won’t be on the blog?
